@L.O.A.D - SEASIDE SPECIAL

LOAD are a bit special my friends. We can all relate to the subject matter that is covered in Oi! and with 'Seaside Special' these guys have put together a blinder. The album opens with 'Working Hard' and is one of those tracks that pulls you in from the start. Fabulous riff and in your face vocals. The hooks throughout are masterful. 'Blood on the Streets' pretty much sums up where the world is at and the single 'Run' is set to be a classic within the genre. My favourite track is 'Cup of tea.' First and foremost it brings a smile but yes, if its all a bit crappy and things go wrong, gave a cup of tea and it will all work out. 'Peaky Blinder' and 'Weekend' are superb and the album rounds of with the awesome 'Do or Die.' LOAD have put together something that is going to go from strength to strength. People will be able to relate to every song and for me this is a slice of pure perfection. 10/10

Punk band LOAD are the latest to be tested as IMS review their album Seaside Special.

This was something a little different to what I expected, but I loved it! 8/10

As you listen to this album, the band sets the tone for an adventure. It’s a little different to my usual taste in music, but that is what appeals you to the band. They are just having a sick time creating fantastic music. Tracks including Diamond in the Rough and Run stand out for me from this band because it really emphasises how punk music should be created. Just non stop bass guitar with heavy riffs and strong vocals to push the tracks onwards alongside the steady drums which may go a little wild at times. The album is just a teaser at the talent that can be unfolded but i can’t help feel like something is missing? I know this is just the start for this band and they have even more talent and power to come and they won’t come quietly. This album is absolutely fantastic, raw and uncut punk music. We need more!!! 8/10
